On January 5th, 2018, Nepal Friendship Society has been awarded a certificate in recognition of outstanding contribution to the sanitation sector in the first City Council of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality. Mr.Birendra Poudel, chairperson of Nepal Friendship Society, has received the appreciation award from Ex-Prime Minister and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal(Prachanda). Nepal friendship Society has been working for better environment, quality education, peace, and development since 2012. Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality has a vision for clean and green Bharatpur. Nepal Friendly Society and other Nepalese NGOs, CBOs, toll development committees, and government bodies together held World Cleanup Day in Nepal on September 15, 2018.
